Produced by Interwoven Studios, 'Crimson Winter' is writer/director Bryan Ferriter's debut film, a dark vampire thriller that brings a Shakespearean feel to the popular vampire ethos. The film follows an exiled vampire prince and his supporters who end up in the mountains of Montana where a group of hikers doing research discover them. The vampire prince must revisit his dark past as the fate of the hikers is decided.
Highlights from the film include beautiful cinematography, great performances by the actors and an intriguing story with a great climax that will leave viewers thinking. As a genre film, it has a very high potential to capitalize on a large, pre-established fan base, generating interest for years to come.
The film has been described as a cross between 'Game of Thrones' and 'Interview With a Vampire'. This acquisition is part of Big Screen’s growing effort to increase its overall asset base by building its library and expanding its distribution network. By acquiring quality projects done on responsible budgets, Big Screen is able to carve out a product niche that can be successfully distributed on modest marketing budgets.
