Asligul Armagan is a screenwriter and a BAFTA Los Angeles Newcomer. Born and raised in Ankara, Turkey, Asligul moved to the United Kingdom at 18 and graduated from Durham University with a History and Classics degree.
After completing a dual degree master’s program at the LSE in London and USC in Los Angeles, she now holds both an MSc and an MA in Global Media and Communications. Since moving to Los Angeles, she has worked in script development at George Clooney & Grant Heslov’s prestigious Smokehouse Pictures and indie powerhouse Gunpowder & Sky, and has worked on such projects as the upcoming Hulu mini-series Catch-22 with Paramount Television, and On Becoming a God in Central Florida with TriStar Television.
